You must have noticed that, by default, to connect any iOS device to a Mac, it's either iTunes or iPhoto launches automatically. This occurs when any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad is connected to a computer.
If the auto-run feature is very useful for some users, it is also annoying if you just want to connect an iOS device to your computer just to charge the battery or manually synchronize files.
If you are angry with the automatic opening of iPhoto, here's how to stop this automatic. The next time you connect an iOS device to your computer, ile nothing will happen!

Prevent the automatic opening of iPhoto
- Connect iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to your Mac with a USB cable
- Let iPhoto automatically open then exit
- Now open "Image Transfer", which is located in the Applications / folder /
- In the lower left corner, click on the drop down menu "On connection, open" and select "No Application"
- Quit "Image Transfer"
The next time you connect your iPhone to your Mac, iPhoto will not launch automatically.
